About the Wright Path Counseling and Wellness Team
About Ashley Wright, LPC-S, RPT
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with a career in the mental health field dating back to 2009. I began my journey in community mental health, working with adults before transitioning in 2014 to support children at an alternative school. From 2016 to 2019, I further honed my expertise at a psychiatric hospital before establishing my own private practice in San Antonio.

I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR and am a Registered Play Therapist. My primary focus is helping children and young adults process trauma, with a special emphasis on cases involving sexual abuse and assault. Additionally, I have pursued advanced training in child-friendly, developmentally attuned EMDR techniques to create a safe and effective therapeutic experience.

I am also a veteran and a proud military spouse, which has given me a deep appreciation for resilience, adaptability, and the unique challenges military families face. In my free time, I enjoy staying active through hiking, kayaking, and exploring new places. I also love reading and unwinding with true crime shows and podcasts. As an avid supporter of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, I strive to create a welcoming and affirming space for all individuals.

About Lisa Chavez, LMFT-Associate
My name is Lisa Chavez, and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-Associate), working under the supervision of Paola Garcia M.S., LMFT-S #203195.
I work with adults, couples, families, teens, and young adults. Whatever brought you here, whether it's anxiety, relationship stress, parenting, or something you haven't quite found the words for yet, you don't have to walk in with it all figured out. That's what this space is for.
Therapy, the way I do it, isn't about fixing you. It's about sitting with you in it. Understanding where you've been, what you've carried, and what's gotten heavy. I pull from family systems, narrative therapy, and somatic approaches, which really just means I care about your whole story, not just the part that's hurting right now. Your relationships, your roots, your body, all of it matters.
I work with teens and young adults on things like identity, anxiety, academic pressure, family dynamics, and learning to trust themselves. With couples and families, I focus on communication, connection, and finding each other again when it feels like you've drifted.
I earned my MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman's University and my BA in Psychology from University of the Incarnate Word, both schools that shaped who I am as a clinician and as a person.
