Sexual Assault and Abuse Resources

  1. Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN): RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE) and provides survivors with confidential support, resources, and access to local services, while also educating the public about sexual violence prevention.

  2. Helping Survivors: This organization offers a comprehensive online platform with resources, survivor stories, and guidance to help those affected by sexual violence find support, healing, and empowerment.

  3. National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC): NSVRC provides research-based information, training, and tools for advocates, professionals, and communities to prevent and respond to sexual violence effectively.

  4. Love Is Respect: Focused on healthy relationships, this resource offers support, education, and advocacy for teens and young adults experiencing dating violence, including access to a confidential hotline and online chat.

  5. 1 in 6: Dedicated to supporting male survivors of sexual abuse, 1 in 6 offers therapy resources, online chat support, and educational materials to empower men in their healing journeys.

  6. Pandora's Project: This organization provides peer support, survivor stories, and online forums for survivors of sexual violence, helping them feel less isolated and more connected to a supportive community.

  7. Childhelp: A national organization addressing child abuse, Childhelp runs the National Child Abuse Hotline (1-800-4-A-CHILD) and provides crisis intervention, advocacy, and prevention education for children and their families.

BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ Resources

  1. The Trevor Project: The Trevor Project provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for LGBTQ+ youth, offering 24/7 support through their hotline, text, and chat services, along with educational resources and advocacy for LGBTQ+ mental health.

  2. Forge Forward: Forge Forward focuses on providing training, resources, and direct services to transgender and nonbinary survivors of violence, helping them heal and navigate systems of care with respect and empowerment.

  3. Black Women’s Blueprint: This organization addresses gender violence and racial injustice by providing support, advocacy, and resources for Black women and girls, with a focus on healing and empowering communities through education and transformative justice.

  4. Loveland Foundation: The Loveland Foundation provides financial assistance for therapy and mental health services to Black women and girls, ensuring they have access to the care and support needed for healing and personal growth.
