About the event
Join Ashley Wright, LPC-S, RPT, owner of Wright Path Counseling and Wellness, for an in-person CEU training focused on suicide and homicide risk assessment for mental health clinicians.
This 3 CE hour training is designed to help therapists strengthen their clinical decision-making, documentation, safety planning, and ethical response when working with clients who present with suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, threats of harm, or other high-risk concerns.
Participants will review practical assessment considerations, warning signs, documentation language, safety planning strategies, and Texas-specific ethical issues related to confidentiality, duty to protect, and clinical risk management. This training will also include role-play practice so clinicians can apply the material in realistic scenarios and build confidence in responding to difficult client disclosures.
This course is appropriate for LPCs, LPC-Associates, LMFTs, LCSWs, supervisors, group practice owners, and other mental health professionals who want clearer, more confident tools for handling high-risk clinical situations.
